2017 Dodge Charger Earns “Five-Star” Overall Safety Rating

October 5, 2016 The 2017 Dodge Charger has earned a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA. Both versions of the Charger, rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, were evaluated for frontal and side impacts, and rollover resistance. The overall result was the same for each: five stars – the highest single rating in NHTSA’s vehicle-evaluation program.

All-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Named Top Safety Pick+

July 29, 2016  FCA US LLC acknowledges that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is exercising its option to renew the monthly submissions and monthly meetings outlined in the FCA US Consent Order for an additional year. As stated in NHTSA’s letter to FCA US, “NHTSA’s exercise of its option to renew these requirements is not based on a concern about FCA’s performance to date, but rather to facilitate continued communication between FCA and NHTSA on potential defect issues.”

July 22, 2016 FCA US LLC is voluntarily recalling an estimated 323,361 vehicles in the U.S. to update certain software and replace wire harnesses, as needed.

FCA US Eliminates Use of Non-desiccated Ammonium-nitrate Takata Air-bag Inflators

June 21, 2016 FCA US LLC will cease NAFTA-market production of vehicles equipped with non-desiccated ammonium-nitrate Takata air-bag inflators, by next week. Global production is expected to end by mid-September.
