In its continuing efforts to monitor and reduce the environmental impact of its vehicles, FCA has completed its latest Global Warming Potential (GWP) analysis. The redesigned-for-2018 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited was compared with the previous-generation vehicle, its overall GWP is 15 percent lower than that of its predecessor.

FCA is expanding its coronavirus relief efforts, focused on two principal areas: charities providing food services to children and support for a range of technical, logistical and manufacturing programs, such as face mask production. Starting immediately, FCA will help provide more than 1 million meals to school children in the communities around our manufacturing plants in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is stepping in to help those at the front line of the coronavirus pandemic by manufacturing and donating more than 1 million protective face masks per month. Production capacity is being installed this week and the company will start manufacturing face masks in the coming weeks with initial distribution across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The Chrysler brand is expanding its partnership with No Kid Hungry, a national campaign focused on ending child hunger in America. Since it began in 2010, No Kid Hungry has provided more than 1 billion meals to kids in need, and helped cut childhood hunger in America by one third. Starting now until the end of the school year, with the sale of every Pacifica, Chrysler will make a contribution that will help No Kid Hungry provide hundreds of meals to kids across the country.

All three companies and the UAW are working to coordinate action to prevent the spread of the COVID-19/coronavirus, including enhanced visitor screening, increased cleaning and sanitizing of common areas and touch points, and implementing safety protocols for people with potential exposure, as well as those who exhibit flu-like symptoms. The joint task force’s areas of focus will include vehicle production plans, additional social distancing, break and cleaning schedules, health and safety education, health screening, food service and any other areas that have the potential to improve protections for employees.

As we continue building our new state-of-the-art assembly plant and bring nearly 6,500 jobs to Michigan, including nearly 5,000 to Detroit, we know we have a great responsibility to minimize the environmental impact for this and future generations.
