FCA Expands Coronavirus-related Relief Actions; 1 Million Meals for School Children

March 27, 2020 FCA is expanding its coronavirus relief efforts, focused on two principal areas: charities providing food services to children and support for a range of technical, logistical and manufacturing programs, such as face mask production. Starting immediately, FCA will help provide more than 1 million meals to school children in the communities around our  manufacturing plants in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to Produce Face Masks for First Responders and Health Care Workers

March 23, 2020 Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is stepping in to help those at the front line of the coronavirus pandemic by manufacturing and donating more than 1 million protective face masks per month. Production capacity is being installed this week and the company will start manufacturing face masks in the coming weeks with initial distribution across the United States, Canada and Mexico. 

Chrysler Brand Expands Partnership With No Kid Hungry to Help Provide Up to 10 Million Meals

March 19, 2020 The Chrysler brand is expanding its partnership with No Kid Hungry, a national campaign focused on ending child hunger in America. Since it began in 2010, No Kid Hungry has provided more than 1 billion meals to kids in need, and helped cut childhood hunger in America by one third. Starting now until the end of the school year, with the sale of every Pacifica, Chrysler will make a contribution that will help No Kid Hungry provide hundreds of meals to kids across the country.

March 15, 2020 All three companies and the UAW are working to coordinate action to prevent the spread of the COVID-19/coronavirus, including enhanced visitor screening, increased cleaning and sanitizing of common areas and touch points, and implementing safety protocols for people with potential exposure, as well as those who exhibit flu-like symptoms. The joint task force’s areas of focus will include vehicle production plans, additional social distancing, break and cleaning schedules, health and safety education, health screening, food service and any other areas that have the potential to improve protections for employees.

FCA to Invest $400 Million to Convert Idled Indiana Transmission Plant to Build Engines; Nearly 200 New Jobs to be Added to Support Production

March 5, 2020 FCA announced today that it will invest $400 million to repurpose an idled transmission plant in Kokomo, Ind., to build the GMET4 engine – the Company’s 2.0-liter Global Medium Engine inline four-cylinder turbo that is currently offered on the Jeep® Wrangler and Jeep Cherokee.

FCA UAW-Represented Employees to Receive 2019 Profit Sharing Payments

February 6, 2020 Based on the Company’s 2019 financial performance, FCA US LLC announced today that the eligible profit sharing amount of $7,280 will be paid to UAW-represented employees on March 13, 2020. Approximately 44,000 employees are eligible to receive the payment.
