MCAN Receives $50,000 Grant From FCA Foundation

February 4, 2020 The Michigan College Access Network (MCAN) has received a $50,000 grant from the FCA Foundation that will enhance programs and activities to help Michiganders, particularly low-income students, first-generation college-going students and students of color, pursue college and postsecondary degrees and credentials. 

FCA Foundation Renews Support for Jackson Street Commons

February 3, 2020 Family Service Association of Howard County Inc. (FSA) announced that it has received a second $50,000 grant for Jackson Street Commons, a permanent, supportive housing program for chronically homeless veterans in Howard and Tipton counties. 

FCA Launches Dealer Diversity Website

January 15, 2020 FCA has launched a new Dealer Diversity site designed to support and expand the number of dealerships owned and operated by minorities and women. The goal of the www.MinorityDealers.com website is to increase awareness of FCA Dealer Network Diversity initiatives, attract qualified minority dealer candidates and launch FCA’s Women Dealers Retail Focus.

FCA Appoints Sproule as Chief Communications Officer

January 7, 2020 Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCA) today announced Simon Sproule as its Chief Communications Officer. In addition, Sproule was named Head of North America Communications. The appointment is effective February 3, 2020.

December 17, 2019 FCA has completed the transfer of $900,000 to the City of Detroit’s Housing & Revitalization Department (HRD) — the first tranche of a $1.8 million commitment — to fund a home repair grant program for homeowners on the City’s east side. The program, one component of the Community Benefits Agreement FCA signed in May, provides eligible homeowners living near FCA’s new assembly plant on Mack Avenue with grants of up to $15,000 per property to invest in home repairs.

FCA believes General Motors’ claims are nothing more than a meritless attempt to divert attention from that company’s own challenges. This includes the proposed merger with PSA, which itself completed the successful turnaround of the European businesses it acquired not long ago from General Motors. FCA will deal with this extraordinary attempt at distraction through the appropriate channels and will stay focused on continuing to deliver record results while realizing an exciting vision for the future of the industry. FCA is confident that it will prevail in defending itself against these claims in court and will also pursue all available remedies in response to this groundless lawsuit.

We can only assume this was intended to disrupt our proposed merger with PSA as well as our ongoing negotiations with the UAW. We intend to vigorously defend against this meritless lawsuit and pursue all legal remedies in response to it.
