The Company confirmed that it will invest more than $1 billion to modernize the Warren Truck Assembly Plant (Michigan) to produce the next-generation Ram Heavy Duty truck, which will relocate from its current production location in Saltillo, Mexico. The plant will add 2,500 new U.S. jobs to support production of the heavy-duty truck. The total U.S. investment grows to more than $10 billion since 2009, with more than 25,000 jobs created to date.
Since June 2009, FCA US LLC has committed investments of nearly $11.5 billion and added more than 27,600 new jobs (including more than 19,000 hourly) in the U.S. and Canada, making significant progress toward building a successful enterprise.

The FCA US Mack Avenue Engine Plant is celebrating after being honored with a silver award in the Company’s World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology. The Detroit plant, which produces the award-winning Pentastar engine family, has been recognized for its efforts in expanding WCM throughout the facility, an honor they achieved in record time.

They become the 18th and 19th North American facilities to reach the milestone award and bring to six the number of plants that have been designated bronze in 2016.

The FCA US Indiana Transmission Plant I achieved its World Class Manufacturing bronze designation today, the last of the five Indiana facilities to reach the milestone award level. Since 2009, FCA US has invested more than $1.9 billion in its Indiana facilities, collectively making them the largest transmission operation in the world.

During an event today at the Sterling Stamping Plant to dedicate three new stamping press lines, FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne announced that as a result of a $166 million investment, the sheet metal for the next generation Jeep® Wrangler will be stamped in-house, a first for the 51-year-old suburban Detroit plant.

The FCA US Jefferson North Assembly Plant celebrated a significant milestone today when the 6 millionth vehicle produced at the Detroit facility – a 75th anniversary edition 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee – rolled off the assembly line. In its 24-year history, the plant has built enough vehicles to circle the globe one and a half times.
