FCA US Hosts Vehicle Safety Training Best Practices Workshop

  • 12 automakers exchange best practices, new ideas to better execute vehicle safety training
  • FCA US discusses and shares its own U.S. Safety Act Web-based Training Module with industry colleagues
December 7, 2016 , Auburn Hills, Mich. -  FCA US LLC hosted the " Vehicle Safety Training Best Practices Workshop" on December 6 at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Michigan, providing an opportunity for 12 major global automakers, including FCA US, to discuss, learn about and share current approaches for improving vehicle safety training.

The workshop focused on in-depth best practice sharing on strategy and approach for vehicle safety training. Topics of discussion included audience identification, learning management system approach, testing, tracking, communication and more.

“The vehicle safety training best practices workshop continues the spirit of collaboration we as an industry are creating together,” said Kristen Kreibich, Safety Advocate, FCA US. “Improving vehicle safety training is an important part of empowering our industry to address areas of customer safety and vehicle safety recall campaigns.”

FCA US also engaged Company subject matter experts, legal counsel and external industry experts to develop a U.S. Safety Act Web-based Training Module, which was shared with workshop attendees.
 
In addition to this workshop, FCA US hosted the "First Automotive Safety Recall Best Practices Summit" on May 24-25, and co-hosted both the “2016 Advancing Safety Through Data Conference” on Oct. 6, as well as the “ Second Automotive Safety Recall Best Practices Summit” on the Torrance, California, campus of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. on Nov. 17-18.
