FCA México Reports Best October Sales Since 2010

  • FCA México sales increased 1 percent year over year with 8,648 units sold, best October since 2010
  • Alfa Romeo had best October ever
  • Dodge sales surged 42 percent
  • Fiat sales up 6 percent
  • Ram brand reported 4 percent sales increase
  • Dodge Attitude set an all-time record
  • Fiat Palio Adventure and Fiat Uno recorded best October sales in their history
  • Mitsubishi L200 recorded best October ever
Mexico City November 1, 2016 - FCA México today reported sales of 8,648 units, an increase of 1 percent versus 2015.
 
“Last month, we unveiled the new Jeep® Grand Cherokee Summit and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, both changed their exterior appearance and offer more luxurious interiors. Jeep brand offers one of the most versatile lineups, attracting and satisfying our customers,” said Bruno Cattori, President & CEO of FCA México. “Our dealers are receiving more clients and our sales are increasing thanks to customer response to our new products. These results reinforce our commitment to work harder to continue on this path.”
 
Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo brand achieved a sales increase of 54 percent, posting sales of 40 units for the brand's best October ever. Sales were fueled by gains in Alfa Romeo MiTo and Alfa Romeo Giulietta, both reported best October ever.
 
Chrysler
October sales for the Chrysler brand were 155 units.
 
Dodge
The Dodge brand posted sales of 3,615 units, a 42 percent increase over October 2015. The Dodge Attitude improved 55 percent to 2,037 units sold; best sales month ever. Dodge Vision weighed in with a significant sales increase in October. Dodge Charger sales rose 15 percent versus the previous year.
 
Last month, the 2017 Dodge Challenger and 2017 Dodge Charger earned a five-star overall safety rating from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
 
FIAT
FIAT brand reported sales of 737 units, up 6 percent. Fiat Palio Adventure sales improved 71 percent, while Fiat Uno sales increased 40 percent; both recorded best October ever. Fiat 500X and Fiat 500L continue to perform well.
 
Jeep
Jeep brand sold 993 units. Last month, the revamped Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT were launched, boosting brand sales. The revamped vehicles have improved features, such as a new design fascia, grille and headlights that will distinguish them from the range.
 
Mitsubishi Motors
Mitsubishi Motors Mexico reported 1,196 units sold during October. Mitsubishi Outlander reported sales of 273 vehicles, up 56 percent over prior year. Mitsubishi L200 sold 430 units, an increase of 25 percent for best October ever. 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage continues the success story of this vehicle in the Mexican market, reporting sales of 445 units.
 
Ram
Ram brand sales continued their strong ascent by posting a 4 percent improvement, 1,912 units sold, compared to October 2015. Ram 700 posted sizeable gains in October, maintaining its leadership in the segment. Ram ProMaster sales were up 72 percent; best October in its history.
