FCA México Reports July 2016 Sales of 7,617 Units

  • Alfa Romeo recorded best July ever
  • Dodge sales rose 1 percent versus July 2015
  • Fiat Uno sales grew 36 percent; best July ever
  • Dodge Attitude recorded best July ever
  • Dodge Challenger set a sales record; best July in its history
Mexico City August 2, 2016 - FCA México today reported sales of 7,617 units.
 
“We are very excited about the return of the Dodge Neon, one of our flagship vehicles. This vehicle joins the Dodge portfolio and complements the brand. The Dodge Neon will compete in one of the most important segments in the Mexican market,” said Bruno Cattori, President & CEO of FCA México. “Dodge Neon attributes, such as appealing design, excellent equipment and a fuel efficient powertrain, make this car an excellent product for our clients.”
 
Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo brand set a sales record, best July ever with 27 units, an increase of 17 percent versus July 2015. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta continued its positive sales trend by posting its best July ever.
 
Chrysler
July sales of the Chrysler brand totaled 178 units, led primarily by the Chrysler Town & Country.
 
Dodge
The Dodge brand rose 1 percent year-over-year, posting sales of 2,927 units. The Dodge Attitude and Dodge Challenger recorded their highest July sales ever. Dodge Vision reported sales of 255 units. Last month, the all-new Dodge Neon made its debut at dealerships and is already achieving positive results from the press and customers. This vehicle offers great appeareance and equipment, as well as a fuel-efficient powertrain.
 
Last month, AutoPacific named the Dodge Challenger "Most Ideal Sporty Car"  for its 2016 Ideal Vehicle Awards.
 
Fiat 
Results for the Fiat brand were particularly strong with 768 units. The Fiat Uno sales grew 36 percent; best July ever. The newest additions to the Fiat lineup, Fiat 500L and Fiat 500X, continued reporting good sales numbers. Another vehicle of this brand, which is also showing positive results, is the Fiat Palio Adventure with a sales increase of 34 percent.
 
Jeep®
Jeep brand had a strong July with sales of 889 units. The Jeep Grand Cherokee sold 271 units, while the Jeep Patriot sold 226 units.
 
Last month, for its sixth consecutive year, Jeep Grand Cherokee won AutoPacific’s Ideal Vehicle Award for the Mid-Size SUV segment.
 
Mitsubishi Motors
Mitsubishi Motors Mexico reported 1,161 units sold during July. The Mitsubishi Mirage continued its positive streak in sales, reaching 542 units sold, an increase of 33 percent over the same period last year and achieving its best month of the year. Meanwhile, the Mitsubishi Outlander and Mitsubishi L200 reported sales of 166 and 356 units, respectively.
 
Ram
Sales of the Ram brand were of 1,667 units. In July, Ram 700 continued to lead its segment by posting sales of 887 units, an increase of 30 percent over July 2015. Also, Ram ProMaster sales improved 3 percent over July 2015.
