The Jeep® Wrangler was named “Hottest 4x4-SUV” for the eighth consecutive year at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, cementing Wrangler’s position as a crowd favorite for customization. Ram pickup also earned SEMA recognition as a finalist in the “Hottest Truck” category. In the “Hottest Sedan” segment, Dodge Charger also received a finalist nod.

Enthusiasts demanded it, and now the Mopar brand is unleashing a new Mopar 6.2-liter supercharged Crate HEMI® Engine Kit — nicknamed the “Hellcrate” — that injects 707 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque under the hood. The Mopar “Hellcrate” HEMI Engine Kit, the first-ever supercharged, 707-horsepower factory-backed crate engine kit, will debut in the brand’s 15,345-square-foot exhibit at the 2017 SEMA Show, scheduled for Oct. 31 to Nov. 3.

On Sunday, Mopar Funny Car driver Matt Hagan finally broke through in the Nevada desert as he won at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the very first time. Hagan put his HEMI®-powered, Mopar Pennzoil Dodge Charger R/T from Don Schumacher Racing (DSR) in the winner’s circle at the 17th annual NHRA Nationals to take his fourth victory of the season and 15th for Mopar-powered Funny Cars in 2017.

For the second year in a row, Mopar Funny Car driver Ron Capps went to the final round of the NHRA FallNationals at Texas Motorplex near Dallas, but he again came up just short of winning at the all-concrete drag strip for the second time in his career. Still, Capps’ final-round appearance was the 12th of the year for his HEMI®-powered Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car from Don Schumacher Racing (DSR), and the 19th time this season that at least one Mopar Dodge from DSR has gone to the final round in the category through 22 events.

Mopar Funny Car driver Ron Capps marched to his second win in a row on Sunday in his HEMI®-powered Dodge Charger R/T at a packed Gateway Motorsports Park, giving him his eighth victory of the year and the 14th overall for Mopar in the category in 2017. The win in the sixth annual NHRA Midwest Nationals, held in the shadow of St. Louis’ Gateway Arch, also extended Capps’ points lead as the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship playoffs reach the halfway mark.

Mopar HEMI® power claimed its 13th NHRA Funny Car win of 2017 on Sunday at Maple Grove Raceway, as Ron Capps drove his Dodge Charger R/T from Don Schumacher Racing (DSR) to the winner’s circle at the Dodge NHRA Nationals. Capps bested Courtney Force in the final round at the Reading-area track to pick up his seventh victory of the season and the 18th for HEMI power from DSR in both Nitro categories overall.

The Mopar Mega Block Party will jump start the Dodge NHRA Nationals for the second consecutive year, with a full slate of fan-friendly activities set for Thursday, September 21, at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, Pennsylvania. The free-to-the-public event is scheduled from 4-10 p.m. Eastern and will feature a home run derby, the unveiling of Top Fuel driver Leah Pritchett’s dragster featuring a wrap celebrating the Mopar brand’s 80th anniversary, Dodge Challenger SRT Demon simulators, an NHRA driver autograph session and much more.

Ron Capps came as close as he ever had to winning the NHRA U.S. Nationals on Monday afternoon. Capps put his Mopar HEMI®-powered Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car in the final round for the first time in the ultra-prestigious event at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis, but in the end he finished just shy of checking off the biggest item remaining on the to-dolist in his storied career.

Leah Pritchett made history during qualifying for the 36th annual NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway, turning in the sport’s quickest elapsed time ever in her Mopar HEMI®-powered Top Fuel dragster. Pritchett’s time of 3.640 seconds at 330.63 mph lowered her own national E.T. record from earlier this season.
