The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country minivan is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the minivan as one of the leading innovators in the segment created back in late 1983. New for 2014 is the Chrysler Town & Country 30th Anniversary Edition which features unique exterior and interior trim in addition to its already extensive list of standard equipment. The Town & Country S model continues on for 2014, bringing with it the modern design cues that tie in with Chrysler 200 S and 300 S models.

Strategic Vision measures “Total Quality” by studying more than 440 variables that encompass positive and negative experiences including reliability, driving excitement, emotional attachment and overall sales and service satisfaction.

For the eighth year in a row, a panel of consumer-minded Detroit News reader-judges selected the Chrysler Town & Country as the Detroit News Readers’ Choice “Best Family Hauler” at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. The Detroit News Readers’ Choice Awards are handed out annually during the auto show’s preview week.

Chrysler brand announced today that the Chrysler Town & Country won the Polk Automotive Loyalty Award in the “Minivan” category for a record 12th consecutive time. The creators of the minivan, Chrysler has been receiving this award since 2002. For 2012, 31.2 percent of all returning Town & Country minivan owners bought another Town & Country, according to Polk analysis.

Chrysler Group LLC rang in the New Year taking the sales lead in the segment it created back in 1983. Dodge Grand Caravan was the best-selling minivan in the United States in 2012 with 141,648 units sold, a 28 percent increase from 2011. America’s most awarded minivan, the refined Chrysler Town & Country, also saw a significant 18 percent increase in sales to 111,744 units. The Chrysler Group sold a combined total of 253,392 minivans, which accounts for almost half of the entire minivan segment’s sales in the United States in 2012.

For the second consecutive year, 12 Chrysler Group models have made the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety’s annual list of Top Safety Picks. Two – the Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 mid-size sedans – earned the new IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award.

Chrysler Group minivan customers can now get the latest minivan innovation from the company that invented the segment. Arriving in dealerships now on the Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country is the new dual-screen Blu-Ray DVD rear-seat entertainment system. This system plays both Blu-Ray and standard DVDs, and has standard higher-resolution screens for the 2013 model year.

The Chrysler brand today announced a partnership with the United States Youth Soccer Association (U.S. Youth Soccer), the nation’s largest youth sports organization, to create a test drive tour featuring the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country minivan. The partnership allows the brand to conduct onsite test drives at various U.S. Youth Soccer games and regional soccer events.

The City of Auburn Hills, a dynamic community committed to innovation and growth, took delivery today of four Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) Chrysler Town & Country minivans from Chrysler Group LLC as part of a two-year demonstration project that is a partnership between Chrysler Group and the U.S. Department of Energy. Chrysler is investing $15.8 million into the project and the U.S. Department of Energy is contributing $10 million. Only 25 test vehicles will be created, according to Abdullah A. Bazzi, Senior Manager of Electrified Power Train Programs for Chrysler Group.
