Olivier François is Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Head of FIAT Brand.

He also was named to the Group Executive Council (GEC) for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCA), in September 2011. The GEC is the highest management-level decision making body within the FCA organization and is led by the FCA Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Francois was previously President and CEO – Chrysler Brand, FCA US LLC, a position he was appointed to in October 2009.
Francois joined the company from FCA Italy S.p.A. where he remained President and CEO – Lancia Brand. He was also the lead executive for Marketing for FCA US and FCA Italy brands, responsibilities he retains. He was the lead executive for the Lancia Brand, FCA Italy from September 2005 to August 2011.

To enhance the effectiveness of FCA Italy and further strengthen synergies within the company, in January 2009, he assumed Brand Marketing Communication, responsible for coordinating communication activities for all brands. Before joining Fiat in 2005, Francois worked for Citroen in positions of increasing responsibility.

In 2012, Francois and his marketing team received two prestigious industry honors. Francois was named the "Grand Brand Genius" by Adweek magazine, being recognized as the top marketer from 10 "Brand Genius" winners, and Advertising Age magazine named FCA US, as Chrysler Group, the "Marketer of the Year" for a series of advertising campaigns that resonated across America and lifted sales.

In 2015, Francois ranked #4 among Forbes Top 10 Most Influential CMO list (as part of the 4th Annual CMO Influence Study by partners Forbes, ScribbleLive, and LinkedIn). In 2016, Francois was again presented with Adweek magazine’s “Brand Genius Award,” making him the only person to win the prestigious award twice.

Francois holds a degree in economy, finance and marketing from the Dauphine University (1985) and a diploma from the IEP (Institute des Sciences Politiques) of Paris (1989).
