March 16, 2016 , Windsor, Ontario -  Dodge Canada is proud to announce the minor hockey teams who have won the top five funding prizes in the annual Dodge Caravan Kids photo contest.

The top two teams – the Panthers de Ken Sud of Shediac, New Brunswick and the Tiburon 2 of Baie St-Paul, Québec – both won $500.

The Dodge Caravan Kids Photo Contest encourages teams to take a fun photo that incorporates a Dodge Grand Caravan, their local Dodge dealership or a unique “thank you” to Dodge. The contest is open to Canadian minor hockey teams who registered in the Dodge Caravan Kids team sponsorship program and are part of an accredited minor hockey association under the governance of Hockey Canada.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2016, Dodge Caravan Kids is a joint effort between participating minor hockey associations throughout the country, FCA Canada and Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram, Fiat retailers. The program provides up to $500 in funding and access to exclusive hockey benefits for novice-level hockey teams.

“It’s great to see the fun and creative photos the Dodge Caravan Kids teams from across the country send in each year,” said Bill Levasseur, VP of Marketing, FCA Canada. “This year is particularly special, given that the 2015-2016 season marks the 10th anniversary of FCA’s support toward minor hockey. To date, Dodge Caravan Kids has provided more than $7 million in funding to over 14,000 novice teams, helping more than 210,000 kids enjoy Canada’s favourite game.”

Photographs were submitted by more than 2,000 teams from across Canada, registered in the 2015-2016 Dodge Caravan Kids program. Each team enrolled via DodgeCaravanKids.ca or lesrecruesdodge.ca and also received the opportunity to win a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan and $5,000 for the team’s local minor hockey association through the Dodge Caravan Kids Score and Win contest, which will be announced in May 2016.

A total of $3,000 in cash prizes was divided amongst the 10 awarded teams based on their rankings. These additional funds are often used by the teams to support an end-of-year banquet, replace equipment, purchase additional ice time or pay for tournament registration costs.
