‘Mopar Road Ready’ Program to Help Teen Drivers in Detroit Area

Mopar and the FCA Foundation, in collaboration with NHRA Motorsports Museum and B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible And Keep Everyone Safe), two nationally recognized non-profit 501(c)3 organizations
An advanced driving program called Mopar Road Ready for teen drivers will be held in the Detroit area. It is designed to teach safe and defensive driving techniques and is available to young drivers between the ages of 15-19 with a learner’s or driver’s license and at least 30 hours of driving experience.
Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3, 2015

To provide media with an inside view of the Mopar Road Ready program, designed to teach teens defensive driving techniques on a closed course in a controlled environment, including a companion experience for a parent or adult guardian who will actively participate. The goal is to prevent injuries and save lives by training and educating teenage drivers and their parents about the importance of safe and responsible driving.
Through this collaborative effort, the three Mopar Road Ready events (Pomona, Calif., Gainesville, Fla., Center Line, Mich.) hope to impact more than 1,000 young drivers and their parents.
Photo, video and an interview opportunity with Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO – Mopar Brand Service, Parts and Customer Care, FCA – Global, are available on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. - noon.
Also available for interviews is B.R.A.K.E.S. representative and instructor Doug Herbert, a NHRA Top Fuel champion and popular drag racing veteran, who founded the organization after losing his two sons in a highway accident.
